Sabrina Wright is from Stewartstown, Pennsylvania and has been horse crazy since she was a little girl thanks to her grandmother Joell, Aunt This an mother Lisa. She got her first pony when she was 4, he was an 8month old buckskin pony saved from the kill pen and she named him My Little Drummer Boy. She grew up with her pony taking lessons on older horses to learn how to ride and when she was 8 and Drummer was 4 she decided she was going to train her pony no matter what mom said! She did just that and turned him into a little hunter pony who later became a super pony club pony on the east coast and has taught many little girls the joy of having a pony and how to ride. When Sabrina was 15 she started working with Deana Mentzer, a trainer in Lancaster, Pennsylvania who trains horses in all disciplines specializing in dressage, hunter/jumpers, reining and cutting. Sabrina worked/apprenticed with Deana for 3 1/2 years training and showing horses, then moved to Delaware and started on her own. In her 4 years in Delaware she managed a Thoroughbred breeding/racing farm, showed Arabians for a breeder at the local Arab shows in halter, english and western pleasure, trained and showed green hunters at the Wicomico horse shows, got her horse Helix and started his training, and started training for eventing with Donald Ruths Jr. of Federalsburg, Maryland. She moved to Iowa in October 2009 where she has been starting and training horses for trail, games, western pleasure and eventing. Sabrina has gone to watch many training clinics with Clinton Anderson, Chris Cox, Gawani Pony boy, the O'conners and has been student of Camie Stockhausen and a rider on the Team Field Day event team. She is currently focusing on her own horses with eventing and helping out some local 4H kids with their horses. She has also just experienced foaling her first baby out of her TB mare Lady!
